Mubarak sentenced Lifetime

An Egyptian court sentenced him to life imprisonment to former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in a trial in Cairo, Saturday (02/06/2012).

Mubarak was convicted involved in the killing of protesters during the uprising which then managed to oust him from power last year.

The verdict of the same age hidupdalam case also meted out to a former minister in the country, Habib al-Adly. While six former police commander found not guilty.

For the charges of corruption, both Mubarak and his two sons, Alaa and Gamal, was found not guilty.

Prosecutors in the courtroom also angry acquittal for police commanders. To the AFP, they expressed concerns about Mubarak and Adly could be released if their appeal.

Mubarak showed no expression when Judge Ahmed Refaat read the verdict. Meanwhile, Alaa and Gamal looked back tears.

Clashes between police and protesters broke out shortly after the verdict was read. Sounds too cries, "Abort, abort ...." and "The people want the judge cleared".

Mubarak is the only North African leader to stand trial following the outbreak of the Arab Spring. He and Adly and six others accused involved in the death of some of the 850 victims killed during a wave of demonstrations against it.

Mubarak, Alaa, Gamal, and Hussein Salem, business associates who fled to Spain, is also on trial for bribery case.
